Join Dr. Karen and Ron Peters for a tour of the Petroglyphs at Partridge Creek on Arizona Road, in Ash Fork, AZ. They will share information archologtist, Yavapai, and Hopi people have shared with them about this Petroglyph site!
These petroglyphs are Archiac, which
means they are in the oldest category of petroglyphs/ rock art, ( 4000 to 6000
years old). We are told that it is one of the largest sites in all of Northern
Arizona. This site is often featured in rock art lectures because of it's age
and density of art. There are and estimated 400-600 petroglyphs at the site,
and Dr. Karen and Ron are currently working with the elderhostel group from
Yavapai college to properly document the site.
